Mission New Energy subsidiary served debtors notice in Malaysia

November 13, 2012 |

In Malaysia, Mission New Energy’s Mission Biofuels has been served with a closure request by a debtor for $16 million related to a 250,000 tons per year biodiesel plant that wasn’t built but was expected to come online this year. The case has gone to arbitration and is still awaiting a decision, leading Mission Biofuels to release a statement saying the request is ‘defective, frivolous, vexatious, malicious and an abuse of the court process’, according to Biofuels International.
