US drought boosts demand for ethanol tankers from Brazil to US East Coast
In New York, shipbroker Poten & Partners says that the drought in the US’s Midwest has damaged the country’s attempt at energy independence as profits evaporate. Increased ethanol imports as a result of the drought has boosted demand for ethanol tankers from Brazil to the US East Coast.
