Mothballed biomass power plant may come online soon with new owners

In Maine, a shuttered Maine biomass power plant last owned by the now-bankrupt Gallop Power Greenville LLC (Greenville, Maine), a subsidiary of Tang Energy Group (Dallas, Texas), may be getting a new owner and could resume operations by the first quarter of 2013. Connecticut-based New Leaf Energy intends for the Greenville plant to be the company’s first major acquisition into the biomass energy market.
