Leading biofuel researcher says EU mucking about with ILUC proposal

In the Netherlands, a leading researcher on biofuels says the EU is wreaking havoc on the European biofuels industry by trying to answer the wrong question. “They should focus on how to organize the synergies between food and fuel rather than wasting time on theoretical models of land use changes that do nothing to improve matters in the real world,” Professor André Faaij of the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands told European Energy Review.
