McDonald’s completes 800K miles on fryer oil biodiesel in UAE

In the Emirates, in 17 months since commencing to use waste fryer oil biodiesel as fleet fuel, McDonald’s UAE is reporting that its fleet has completed 808,411 miles on biodiesel and has reduced its truck-based carbon dioxide emissions by 80 percent. Neutral Fuels is collecting, filtering, and processing the waste fuels from McDonald’s locations across the UAE. diverting roughly 80% of its carbon dioxide emissions from the atmosphere.

“We operate a closed loop system for McDonald’s UAE where every drop of biodiesel is converted from their own used vegetable oil and is used in 100% of their logistics fleet 100% of the time in an ongoing recycling process,” said Karl Feilder, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Neutral Fuels – McDonald’s clean tech partner.
