Cherokee Indians team up on biodiesel project in North Carolina

In North Carolina, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has teamed with the Cherokee Boys Club to build a 250 gallon per day biodiesel facility at the new Cherokee Transportation Center thanks to DOE funding. The band’s department of Natural Resources and Construction is the tribe’s largest user of biodiesel. Verde Bio-Trailers of Arizona built the facility.
