ReEnergy looking for upper New York state farms to supply willow

December 25, 2012 |

In New York state, ReEnergy is moving into commercial production of energy from shrub willow and is looking for farmers to supply the crop. Farms must have at least 100 acres of land available to participate and must sign a supply contract. The USDA granted $4.3 million earlier this year to promote the production of shrub willow for energy production in the northern part of the state.
