Corn prices fall on lack of demand due to expected high prices

In Illinois, corn prices are slipping despite a smaller crop in 2012 due to lower demand for feed and ethanol thanks to expected high prices. Though soybean prices have remained high, corn has decoupled from it leading into Christmas with lower prices. Export demand is seen down by a quarter but export shipments are down 46% on the year.
