Iran to put more focus on biodiesel as diesel demand rises

In Iran, the government will put a stronger focus on local biodiesel production in light of increased diesel usage in the country. Diesel now represents 24% of cars, up from 17% previously. The country’s Fuel Conservation Company has recently set up a working group to decide how to tackle increased demand for both biodiesel and ethanol.
