December 31, 2012 |

In the Philippines, the Ministry of Energy plans to promote energy security and cleaner fuels by requiring 30 percent of all public utility vehicles to run on alternative fuels by 2030. To reach its goal, the national biofuel blend will be increased to 20 percent by 2030, and the number of compressed natural gas and auto-LPG vehicles on the country’s major routes will be increased. The project will be in part supported by funds from the Asian Development Bank and also include electricity-powered vehicles.
