Green Fuel re-starts ethanol production as cabinet approves E5

January 7, 2013 |

In Zimbabwe, Green Fuel re-started ethanol production on Monday thanks to the cabinet at long last adopting a 5% ethanol blending policy that will later rise to 10% and 15%. Until blending logistics are in place around the country, the cabinet decided E5 will be blended at Msasa and at oil companies’ outlets until nationwide infrastructure is put into place. E10, E20, E85 and E100 will be available at the pump though only E5 will be mandatory for now.
