Algae-Tec to open $200 million bond offering in Europe

In the UK, Algae.Tec plans to sell $200 million worth of bonds in Europe to fund the construction of two algae biodiesel plants—one in Texas and one in Brazil. It expects to open the bond offering within the next month and close by mid-year, while feasibility studies for the projects are expected to begin this month. The company expects to retain 90% control of the plants.
