Cardinal Ethanol may reduce or cease production due to corn shortage

In Indiana, Cardinal Ethanol has faced a corn shortage since September which may lead the company to reduce production or cease all together, the company said in a report to the SEC. Typically the 100 million gallon per year plant buys corn locally but has had to buy from non-traditional markets and transport the corn by rail in order to make up for the short fall due to the 2012 drought.
