Rwanda still without biofuels seven years after successful pilot

In Rwanda, the country’s biodiesel program remains stalled after seven years despite a draft policy written in 2010 and a functioning 2,000 liter per day biodiesel plant online. The country was meant to produce 50,000 liters per day by now that would have replaced part of the fossil fuels imported to run the thermal power plants responsible for half of the country’s power.
