Vinema to invest $354 million in cereal-based ethanol plants

In Brazil, Vinema plans to invest $354 million to build six ethanol plants that will use cereals as a feedstock, the first in the country. The plants will be built in Rio Grande do Sul where sugarcane isn’t grown well, with the first to be located in the town of Cristal. By 2020, the six plants are expected to produce 158 million gallons per year.
