Maharashtra approved E10 as other states struggle with E5 implementation
In India, Maharashtra has approved a 10% ethanol blend beginning March 1, up from the 5% implemented in most of the rest of the country. Maharashtra is one of the main sugarcane growing regions. Bharat Petroleum Corporation has posted an e-tender to source the 315.2 million liters needs to fulfill the state mandate. About 35 producers in the state have so far shown interest to supply the ethanol required.
