Green Fuel Chisumbanje plant set to reopen in Zimbabwe

In Zimbabwe, the Green Fuel Chisumbanje plant is finally set to reopen, amidst social controversy with the villagers forced the plant to shut down earlier last year. Company spokesperson Lillian Muungani indicated that the compromise included releasing farmers arrested over land issues from prison immediately. In addition to the contention regarding this plant, Green Fuel is expected to be forced to lay off 2000 workers this year because of rising financial struggles.
