Ukraine bioenergy industry stalled by corruption and policy flux

In Ukraine, the national bioenergy association says that corruption is among the leading inhibitors to the development of a successful bioenergy industry. That, liked with often changing policies, have led both domestic and international investors to pull back from would-be projects. On Nov. 20, a new policy was passed that is vague and offered low feed-in tariffs for renewable energy, adding risk to the already challenged investment climate.
