Mitsui Chemicals signs acrylamide bio-process technology license agreement with Kemira

In Japan, Mitsui Chemicals has signed a licensing agreement for their acrylamide (AAM) manufacturing technology, the raw material for poly-acrylamide which is used in wastewater treatment and shale gas mining recovery processes, with Kemira OYJ of Finland.

Mitsui Chemicals AAM manufacturing technology uses bio-catalysts, rather than copper catalyst based chemical processes. Kemira is a global over two billion euro water chemistry company that is focused on serving customers in water-intensive industries.
