DDGS exports could reach 12.7 million tons by 2017

In Nebraska, an agricultural economist from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln calls the export of DDGS to China in empty containers returning home after supplying goods to the US, the “500 pound gorilla in the export market.” DDGS sales have boomed in the last few years with exports from ethanol distilleries reaching 4.4 million metric tons per year. He said exports could reach 12.7 million tons by 2017.
