Bangladesh’s Ministry of Industry meet to complete white paper on white biotechnology

In Bangladesh, Minister of Industry Additional Secretary presided over a meeting to finalize a white biotechnology policy guideline. According to an article in The Financial Express, issues discussed included: why entrepreneurs will likely not invest in the sector, as according to Chairman of Bangla Chemical MA Siddiqui; the Bangladeshi business community lacking awareness of the sector; and, a dearth of experts in the field. Those present for meeting called for more research and develop funding by the government.
