Government shuts down ethanol plant due to poor wastewater treatment

In Thailand, the Department of Industrial Works has ordered AA Ethanol in Prachin Buri to shut down temporarily until it is able to repair its wastewater treatment system. An inspection on the system in late January showed the system was not in good working order, nor did the company provide a satisfactory response as to what it does with the 1,000 cubic meters of wastewater produced on a daily basis.
