Glencore and Olam point fingers at ethanol for high food prices

In the UAE, global grain traders Glencore has said that biofuel production from cereals and edible oils were questionable because they have had an impact in leading to higher prices. Olam, a leading global integrated supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients, went so far as to say that using corn as an ethanol feedstock was “inappropriate.”
