Brazil’s CTC to sign $40 million deal with Andritz for cellulosic pilot plant

In Brazil, the Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira plans to sign a $40 million deal with Germany’s Andritz this month to supply equipment for a cellulosic ethanol plant that will also use Novozymes and/or Codexis enzymes and be built by Poyry. Construction on the plant is set to start in July and being producing ethanol by mid-2014.
