California Energy Commission awards $6 million to Eslinger Biodiesel

In California, the California Energy Commission has awarded Eslinger Biodiesel of Dos Palos $6 million towards its $20 million biodiesel plant that it hopes to have operating next year. The 5 million gallon per year facility will use algal and seed oils, waste vegetable oils, and animal fats as feedstock. The total three-phase project will run $32 million and produce 45 million gallons of biodiesel annually.
