Ethanol prices on the rise in Brazil following boost to gas prices

In Brazil, domestic hydrous ethanol prices have hit a 14-month high at $2.37 per gallon for the week of Feb. 15, up 2.9% on the week. The price increase is related to the government’s decision to raise wholesale gasoline prices by 6.6% effective the end of January. Anhydrous prices also rose 1.3% on the week to $2.59 per gallon.
