EU Energy Ministers question draft directive for biofuels usage

In the EU, the energy ministers questioned the new draft directive for biofuels usage which promotes advanced biofuels by giving them a ‘climate bonus’. The hesitations addressed whether the draft directive deals with ILUC emissions and a transition to advanced biofuels adequately, and whether the 5% limitation on the share of current biofuels supports existing energy and climate change objectives in the EU.
