February 26, 2013 |

In Texas, Delek Renewables LLC, a biodiesel production facility in Cleburne, was awarded a three-year, 40 percent tax abatement by Johnson County Commissioners. Delek purchased the facility from Best Biofuels and plans to invest $3.9 million to remodel the six-year old plant to convert soy beans, beef tallow, poultry tallow and other materials into biodiesel. The project will create 19 jobs and biofuels produced at the plant will be transported to Delek’s refinery in Tyler, approximately 150 miles away.
