Beta Renewable sees 2013 as banner cellulosic year, green light by 2015

In Italy, Beta Renewables told Reuters that it expects the cellulosic biofuel industry to explode by 2015 when planned production finally comes online. The company’s plant came online during Q4 last year and could reach up to 16 million gallons of production by year’s end. Beta’s CEO expects cellulosic ethanol production to reach 30 million gallons this year, in the US and Europe combined, up from just 20,000 gallons produced in the US last year.
