In Nebraska, Bridgeport Ethanol says it has fared the high prices of corn better than its Midwest brethren because it is co-located near to its primary market for DDGS rather than close to its corn supply. About 90% of the ethanol production goes to blending on the West Coast. Despite being better off thanks to its business model, it is still having a hard time and reported a net loss in 2012.
