European Commission officially publishes anti-dumping tariff on US ethanol

March 5, 2013 |

In Belgium, the European Commission published the official ruling imposing a 9.5%, five-year anti-dumping duty on imports of bioethanol from the US on Feb. 22. The ruling follows a 15 month investigation by the European Commission after a formal complaint was launched by ePure, who is happy with the decision. US ethanol producers are concerned about the methodology used by the EC during the investigation because they don’t see any signs of dumping.
