REG threatens to back out from NM plant if B5 policy dropped

In New Mexico, REG has threatened to walk away from its $7 million to $15 million planned investment in the biodiesel plant it bought in Clovis in 2010 if the state legislature goes through with a proposed bill to roll-back the state’s B5 blending mandate. The B5 blend introduced in 2006 has yet to be implemented so a recently introduced bill looks to repeal it.
