METabolic EXplorer and Bio-XCell report talks moving ahead

In France and Malaysia, METabolic EXplorer and Bio-XCell report that talks on amending the contractual framework for their relations are moving ahead. Under second phase of the suspension agreement, the contractual framework is to be amended in light of the updated schedules for building and starting up the factory, as well as the terms of financing for the project.

The two partners have given themselves a further two weeks to finalize their respective commitments so that the construction of the plant can resume. A further update will be issued on or before 15 March 2013. METabolic is currently focusing its fermentation processes on the production of five compounds that together have an estimated, annual, end-market value of €11 billion.
