March 18, 2013 |

In North Carolina, Chemtex’s $170 million grass-to-ethanol plant in Clinton could begin construction as early as this fall with the plant coming online in 2015. The project mirrors one already in Italy and will process 20 million tons of grass annually from 20,000 acres. Siting for the facility isn’t yet finalized but the company would like to locate it in North Carolina.
