Republicans again try to dry up Navy biofuels funding

In Washington, Republicans are set to again attack Navy spending on biofuels, this time to the $984 billion federal spending bill. Also on the chopping block is circumventing Obama’s authority on Keystone. TheHill.com reports that Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) has proposed an amendment that would have transferred military funds for biofuels to operation and maintenance funds in order to lighten the burden of sequestration cuts.
