South Bend city to pay new ethanol plant owners to operate water pump

In Indiana, the new owners of the ethanol plant in South Bend have agreed to run the water pump to save the area from continued flooding while the city will pay the related electricity bills and security for the site.

The board of public works meeting on Tuesday still had to agree to the deal that is only valid for the current owners, whose purchase was validated last week in bankruptcy court.
