In Washington, according to EIA data, ethanol production averaged 854,000 barrels per day (b/d) — or 35.87 million gallons daily. That is up 47,000 b/d from the week before and the highest rate since the week ending 6/29/2012. It is the largest week-to-week increase since October 2011. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 819,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 12.56 billion gallons. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.07% — the highest since the first week of 2013. On the co-products side, ethanol producers were using 12.949 million bushels of corn to produce ethanol and 95,309 metric tons of livestock feed, 84,969 metric tons of which were distillers grains.
