In Pakistan, exports to Europe soared to 18.1 million liters in January thanks to the duty-free quota of 95 million liters the country secured for 2013. Pakistan was the largest import origin for the month. Total imports in January reached 69.3 million liters, up from 38.4 million liters during January 2012. Other main origins were the US, Egypt and Brazil. High supplies compounded with improved demand expectations for prices in Europe which have forced them into a contango.
