Biofuels Digest Index hits 70.00 as ethanol rallies

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, rallied 1.35 percent to 70.00 as ethanol stocks jumped.  For the day, Green Plains (GPRE) leaped 7.61 percent to $12.16, while Solazyme (SZYM) soared 10.11 percent to $8.71. Among other equities, Valero (VLO) rose 3.25 percent to $41.97. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
