Biofuels Digest Index rises to 74.89; Aemetis, Green Earth Technologies added to BDI

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, surged for the seventh consecutive session, rising 0.50 percent to 74.89 as enzymes and ethanol equities led. For the day, Amyris (AMRS) gained 1.59 percent to $3.20, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) jumped 6.53 percent to $4.24. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) fell 1.84 percent to $1.60. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.

Following reader reaction yesterday to our expanded Biofuels Digest Index line-up, we will add Aemetis (AMTX) and Green Earth Technologies (GETG.OB) as of the close of business today to the BDI — bringing the total Index line-up to 38 companies.
