Ag Processing to permanently shut ethanol plant in Hastings, Neb.

In Nebraska, Ag Processing says it is permanently closing its only ethanol plant after margins failed to improve. The 52 million gallon ethanol plant in Hastings was originally located in Jasper, Tennessee when it was purchased in 1994 and then transported to Nebraska. It came online in 1995 and runs on what is considered to be older-generation technology.
