Genscape’s QAP-A RIN gets EPA approval to help avoid RIN fraud

May 21, 2013 |

In Kentucky, Genscape’s QAP-A RIN replacement backstop was reviewed and approved by the EPA for the interim period. Genscape’s QAP-A RIN replacement mechanism is further backed by the company’s multi-billion dollar parent company, Daily Mail and Group Trust (DMGT). As part of the EPA Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for RIN integrity, QAP providers were required to submit details of their QAP-A replacement plans to the EPA by May 1, 2013. Under the NPRM, the QAP-A RIN provides an obligated party zero liability if the RIN is ever to be found invalid.
