Clariant Seeks Partnership for Advanced Biofuel Plant

In Switzerland, following the $2.5 billion purchase of Sued-Chemie, Clariant AG is now in advanced talks with partners to build a bioethanol facility. The second-generation biofuel plant would have a 150,000 ton capacity and utilize Clariant’s Sunliquid enzyme technology. The company is in talks with a range of partners including agricultural companies, fuel distributors and bioethanol producers.
