Iowa Ethanol Retailers Angry Over E15 Sales Blocked by Big Oil

In Iowa, congressman and fuel retailer, Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) held a press conference with Linn Coop Oil Company and the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association to express dismay over the distribution monopoly held by oil companies, who refuse to ship E15 during the summer. Rep. Braley noted the need to provide consumers with lower cost, cleaner fuel choices and seeks to combat the “war on renewables” which he feels is being funded by oil companies.  Braley is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee which oversees the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS).
