Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 71.73 as renewable chemicals advance

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, rebounded 0.76 percent to 71.73 as renewable chemicals advanced. For the day, Gevo (GEVO) settled 6.59 percent to $1.70, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) rose 3.17 percent to $3.90. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) jumped 4.47 percent to $11.92. Overall, declines led advances 11 to 4 for the day.
