Maple Energy Increasing Sugar Cane to Ethanol Production in Peru

In Peru, Maple Energy anticipates that in 2013, it will harvest 1.075 million gross tons of sugar cane from its plantation for ethanol production. The company will also co-generate electricity from sugar cane “trash” including green and dry leaves. So far in 2013, approximately 31,000 cubic meters of fuel-grade ethanol have been produced at the company’s ethanol plant and plans to increase efficiency and capacity are underway.
