Biofuels and Renewable Chemicals’s Hottest Partners for 2013-14

In Florida, Biofuels Digest announced that POET and DSM were among the biggest winners in the annual Hot Partners poll. Voting was open to Digest subscribers at more than 25,000 organization in every country around the globe, and recognizes the hottest supply chain partners from field to wheels in building capacity and improving economic and environmental sustainability for both first-generation and advanced biofuels.

In this year’s ballot, POET-DSM took first place in two categories: Pretreatment systems and Processing systems and services, while the joint venture was runner up in Engineering, procurement & construction services, POET Biomass individually was the runner-up in Feedstocks (gases and residues), while DSM was runner-up in Enzymes, yeasts & sugars.

The US government polled strongly, with the US DOE, USDA and the US Navy each pulling down a supply chain award, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory gaining one also. Among the other winners: Harris Group, Novozymes, Solazyme, Waste Management, Green Plains Renewable Energy, Southern Research Institute, Elsevier, BASF, John Deere and Coca-Cola.
