Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 72.40 as chemicals stocks recover

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.36 percent to 72.40 as chemicals stocks recovered. For the day, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) jumped 3.44 percent to $15.34, while Ceres (CERE) dropped 6.41 percent to $2.19 after disappointing Brazilian yield data. Among other equities, Codexis (CDXS) gained 5.13 percent to $2.46. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 7 for the day.
