Brazilian mills switching to ethanol as demand increases

In Brazil, sugar mills are producing more ethanol following on increased demand for the fuel by drivers, demand which has increased 24% on the year. More ethanol production will lower sugar production, in turn supporting sugar prices that are at a three-year low. UNICA expects to boost its ethanol forecast by 600 million liters to 26 billion liters.
