Enerfuel plant begins production after 7 years in Portugal

In Portugal, Enerfuel’s 7.5 mmgy plant has begun production. The 7.5 mmgy multifeedstock plant, which has taken 7 years to build, has cost the company over 13 million euros. It utilizes animal fats and used cooking oil as feedstock, and is the first multifeedstock plant in operation in Portugal. GALP, a Portuguese oil company, is a partner for the project.
